Theodulphus Aurelianensis

Libellus de processione spiritus sancti

Orléans, Anfang 9. Jh.

Preceding Theodulf’s compilation of quotations by church fathers on the relationships within Trinity, is a verse of dedication to Charlemagne. Possibly this manuscript was the original copy, which was written in the presence of Theodulfs in Orléans, and served as a report for the council of Aachen in 809 in the Filioque controversy.
Possibly this manuscript later landed in the monastic library of Lorsch.
