Freculphus Lexoviensis

Historiarum librorum XII sive Chronici pars I (= libb. I-VII)

Nordostfrankreich (Arras?), 1. Hälfte 9. Jh. (Fasz. II)

The manuscript consists of four originally independent parts of which only fascicle II has a connection to Lorsch. Fascicle I and III-IV were written in the 13th century. The place of origin of fascicle I (foll. 1-29: Solinus; Iulius Valerius; Ps.-Alexander Magnus) is unknown. Fascicle III (foll. 139-174: Iohannes de Alta Silva) was written in the region of the river Meuse and fascicle IV (foll. 175-190: Iohannes de Plano Carpini) in North France.
Fascicle II (foll. 41-138, with additions on foll. 41-44, 129-138 from the 13th century) was possibly written in Saint Vaast (Arras) for Lorsch.
