Alcuinus

De sancto Vedasto Vita, homilia, hymnus et versus

Arras (St. Vaast), 1. Hälfte 9. Jh.

The fascicle was compiled in the Abbey St. Vaast near Arras. Already in the 9th century it was united with other vitae of Saints written in different workshops to a miscellany of hagiographical texts.
In the early 9th century several codices in Lorsch were written in the style of script deriving from the Abbey St. Vaast. Therefore, also this manuscript is relevant for research on the Lorsch scripts.
