Druthmar (+ 1046) wrote the sermon on Nazarius presumably in the year 1007, when he was still a monk under Abbot Poppo (1006-1018) and before 1014 when he was made abbot of Corvey.
The leaves derive from the codex, in which different fragments and fascicles from the 8th until the 15th century (mainly with hagiographic content) were bound together.
