The codex, a collection of school texts, which holds several pen drawings on blank pages, consists of three originally independent parts: Fascicle I (foll. 1-34) was written in the first half of the 9th century in Lorsch. Fascicle II (foll. 35-49) was also written in the first half of the 9th century, fascicle III (foll. 50-59) was written around 800 or at the beginning of the 9th century; fascicle II and III were both written in Western Germany, possibly in Lorsch.
