The codex consists of four originally independent parts: Fascicle I (foll. 1-20, today bound at the end of the manuscript, after fol. 71: Homiliar) was written in the 1st half of the 9th century in Lorsch and the fragment (fol. 21: Phocas grammaticus) in the 9th-10th century. Its place of origin is unknown. Fascicle II (foll. 22-53: "Aristoteles Latinus") was written in the 10th century in Bretagne and fascicle III (foll. 54-71: Ps.-Augustinus, Gennadius) in the 1st half of the 9th century in Lorsch. Both the fragment and fascicle II were possibly held the library of Abbey Lorsch.
